# Create a project

> Projects, slugs, and what gets configured in the dashboard.

A **project** is one blog — one slug, one theme, one set of domain settings. Most indie devs need one project per product.

## Choosing a slug

The slug becomes your free subdomain: `slug.app.blogizi.com`. Pick something short and memorable (e.g. `postezi`, `my-saas`).

Slugs are lowercase, use hyphens, and cannot be changed easily after launch — choose carefully.

## Dashboard sections

- **Posts** — list, filter, and open the editor for each article
- **Analytics** — pageviews, referrers, and a world map
- **Settings** — branding, SEO, DNS, theme, and CLI setup (shows your account API key + `blogizi use` for this project)

Your **account API key** lives under Dashboard → **Account → API**. One key covers every project you own.

## Repo URL (optional)

Linking a GitHub repo is optional context for you and your AI coding agent when writing posts. It's optional if you write posts entirely in the dashboard editor.
