Claude Code + Blogizi

Publish to your blog from Claude Code

  • Install the Blogizi plugin from the Claude marketplace in two commands
  • Write about what you just shipped, straight from the repo
  • Drafts by default, runs headless in scripts and CI

Claude Code writes the markdown post itself and publishes it through the Blogizi plugin, CLI or MCP server. The post is grounded in the code it can actually see, and nothing goes live until you say so. Prefer chatting? See the Claude guide.

How to install Blogizi in Claude Code

The fastest way is the Blogizi plugin from the Claude marketplace: two commands inside Claude Code, then one browser sign-in. The skill + CLI and the hosted MCP server are the alternatives. Either way takes under a minute.

1 Connectunder a minute

Claude Code plugin

Adds the Blogizi skill so Claude Code knows when and how to publish. Then authenticate the CLI once.

Plugin
/plugin marketplace add bytemindlab/blogizi-agent
/plugin install blogizi@blogizi-agent

# then, in your terminal
npm install -g blogizi
blogizi login # approve the code in your browser
blogizi use your-project # only if you have several blogs

The skill uses the CLI, which auto-uploads relative images in your markdown.

2 Askdraft on your blog

Ask Claude Code to write the post

Once connected, Claude Code calls Blogizi tools. Posts land as drafts on your domain and go live only when you approve.

Write a post about the rate-limiting middleware we just merged, target "express rate limiting", and draft it on Blogizi.
Wrote posts/express-rate-limiting.md (1,050 words, 2 code samples). Ran blogizi draft posts/express-rate-limiting.md: saved as a draft. Review it in the dashboard; say "publish" when it's ready.

Why use Claude Code for your blog?

With Search Console connected, Claude Code can call get_search_performance, find the queries you're on page 2 for, and write posts grounded in your real code for each one. Run it weekly with a scheduled task.

Grounded in your code

Claude Code reads the files you point it at, so examples match what you actually shipped.

Markdown in your repo

Posts live as .md files you can diff, review and commit like code.

Images from your repo

Relative image paths in the markdown are uploaded automatically on draft.

Update by slug

blogizi update re-pushes edits to the same post. No duplicate URLs.

Weekly on a schedule

Run a scheduled task that checks Search Console and drafts posts every Monday.

Multiple blogs

blogizi use switches between projects; one key covers them all.

What is Claude Code?

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool. It lives in your terminal and IDE, understands your codebase, runs commands, calls MCP tools and uses skills. With Blogizi it can also write and publish the post about what you just built.

All three are Anthropic products that can drive Blogizi, but they run in different places. This page is about Claude Code.

Plugin, skill and MCP

Claude Code extends itself with plugins, skills and MCP servers. Blogizi ships all three; connect once and go.

Headless and scriptable

Run one prompt with claude -p and exit. Put it in a release script or CI job and every release gets its post.

How Blogizi works with Claude Code

How do I publish a blog post from the terminal with Claude Code?

Type the request in a Claude Code session, or pass it to claude -p in a script. Claude Code reads your code, writes the markdown, uploads images and drafts the post while you keep coding.

Just ask

One prompt, grounded in your repo

Type a prompt in your Claude Code session. It reads the files you point at, writes the post with real code samples, and saves it as a draft on your blog.

Headless and CI

Scripts, cron and GitHub Actions

Run Claude Code non-interactively with one prompt. Wire it into a release pipeline and every tag gets a draft post, with BLOGIZI_API_KEY set in CI.
