Is my Search Console status a problem?

Find the line Search Console shows you. Most statuses are fine for some pages and a problem for others, so the answer depends on which URLs are listed.

How do I read the Page indexing report?

Four steps from “why isn't this on Google?” to a fix you can check.

01

Open Indexing → Pages

In Search Console, the table 'Why pages aren't indexed' lists each status and how many URLs have it.

02

Click a status

You get example URLs. Check whether they're pages you actually want in search, or archives and redirects.

03

Inspect one URL

Paste it into URL Inspection for Google's latest data, and run the live test to see the page as it is now.

04

Fix, then Validate fix

Change the page, then click Validate fix in the report. Google says it typically takes up to about two weeks.
