What do you need before you start?

Three things, and you probably have two of them already.

A machine running Hermes

Your laptop, a home server or a small VPS. Hermes runs continuously, so a server works best for weekly jobs.

A Blogizi account and blog

Start with the 7-day trial for $0. The weekly Search Console loop needs Pro or Agency.

Node.js (skill route only)

Only if you use the Blogizi skill and CLI. The MCP route needs nothing installed.

How do I connect Blogizi to Hermes Agent?

Add Blogizi as a remote MCP server in ~/.hermes/config.yaml (recommended, and needed for the Search Console loop), or install the Blogizi skill and CLI. Then give Hermes the job.

1 Connectabout two minutes

Add Blogizi to ~/.hermes/config.yaml

Hermes reads remote MCP servers from mcp_servers in its config. Add the Blogizi block, then sign in to Blogizi.

MCP server
mcp_servers:
  blogizi:
    url: "https://blogizi.com/api/mcp"

# then, in your terminal
hermes mcp login blogizi

Includes get_search_performance for the weekly loop (Pro). No sign-in possible? Add headers: Authorization: "Bearer YOUR_ACCOUNT_API_KEY" instead.

2 Askdraft on your blog

Ask Hermes Agent to write the post

Once connected, Hermes Agent calls Blogizi tools. Posts land as drafts on your domain and go live only when you approve.

Every Monday morning, check Blogizi search data, pick two page-2 queries and draft a post for each. Message me the drafts.
Scheduled: Mondays, 08:00. This week: drafted posts for "markdown blog for saas" and "add blog to nextjs". Both saved as drafts. Links sent to Telegram.

How do I set up Blogizi in Hermes Agent, step by step?

Five steps, one command each. Most people are done in a few minutes.

1

Install Hermes Agent and run setup

Hermes is an open-source agent from Nous Research that runs on your own machine. The setup wizard picks a model provider.

terminal
# Linux, macOS, WSL2curl -fsSL https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/install.sh | bashhermes setup # full setup wizard
2

Add Blogizi as an MCP server

~/.hermes/config.yaml
mcp_servers: blogizi: url: "https://blogizi.com/api/mcp" # then sign inhermes mcp login blogizi

Or add the Blogizi skill

What can Hermes Agent do with Blogizi?

What does Hermes do while you're away?

Two kinds of jobs: the weekly SEO loop that finds what to write, and an idea inbox that turns your messages into drafts.

The weekly loop

Search Console → drafts, every Monday (Pro)

Hermes reads get_search_performance, picks the queries you're on page 2 for, writes a post for each and leaves them as drafts.

Hermes: Weekly loop finished. 1. get_search_performance (28 days) 2. Picked 2 page-2 queries: - "markdown blog for saas" (pos 13) - "add blog to nextjs" (pos 16) 3. draft_post ×2 on blog.yourapp.com Reply "publish 1" or "publish 2".

The idea inbox

From Telegram or Discord

Send Hermes an idea whenever it comes to you. It turns each one into a draft on your blog and sends you the link.

Pricing, security, and troubleshooting

How much does it cost?

Hermes Agent is open source and the Blogizi MCP server, skill and CLI are free. Hermes Agent is billed by your model provider. Blogizi starts with a 7-day trial for $0, then plans run from $9/month. The Search Console loop needs Pro or Agency.

Compare Blogizi plans

How is access secured?

hermes mcp login signs in with your Blogizi account, so no key sits in config.yaml. If you use a key header instead, use a dedicated key and regenerate it in Account → API if the machine changes hands.

Something not working?

  • ✓Tools not listed: restart Hermes after editing config.yaml.
  • ✓401: run hermes mcp login blogizi again, or check the Bearer header.
  • ✓Scheduled job silent: confirm Hermes is running and check its logs.
